How SiggyHomes works
Siggy is a thinking tool for homeowners, buyers, renovators and investors — not a styling toy. It helps you weigh up what's worth doing before you spend anything.
The flow
1. Show Siggy the space
Upload a room photo, or paste the details of a property you're considering and add any listing photos you're allowed to use. Photos are resized on your device first.
2. Say what you're trying to achieve
A cheap refresh and a full renovation lead to completely different advice. Pick the closest goal, or describe your own.
3. Set a budget level
A ballpark band keeps suggestions realistic, and it anchors the indicative cost range.
4. See the potential
A before-and-after concept, a shortlist of improvements ordered by effort, an indicative cost range, and an honest note about impact.
The goals Siggy understands
- 🪣 Cheap Refresh — Paint, styling and small swaps. Biggest change for the least money.
- ✨ Modernise It — Drag a dated space into this decade without gutting it.
- 🔑 Rental Makeover — Hard-wearing, neutral and quick to let. Cost per year matters.
- 🏷️ Resale Makeover — Broad appeal for viewings and photos. Spend where buyers look.
- 🧱 Full Renovation — Take it back and rebuild it properly. Layout on the table.
- 💭 Something else — Tell Siggy exactly what you have in mind.
Questions people ask
- Is the cost range a quote?
- No. It's an indicative range to help you sanity-check an idea. Real costs depend on materials, labour rates, access and how much you do yourself. Always get written quotes.
- Will you tell me how much value this adds?
- No, and be wary of anything that does. A credible figure needs your location, the property's condition and comparable local sales. Siggy explains the likely direction of impact and leaves valuation to a professional.
- What happens to my photos?
- Photos are resized in your browser and saved only on your device. A copy is sent to the AI provider when you ask for a concept image — that's the only time it leaves your device. Analytics never sees your photos or the text you type.
- Does it keep the room's character?
- By default, yes. Fireplaces, cornicing, beams, original floors and the room's structure are preserved unless you switch that off.
- Do I need an account?
- Not for the MVP. Projects are stored anonymously in your browser. Accounts and syncing can come later.
